About the Brand
Founded in 1877 by Alexander Williams and Arthur Humbert, the company is now owned entirely by the Medina family of Jerez. The company’s most famous product in Ireland is undoubtedly A Winter’s Tale. A blend of Palomino and Pedro Ximenez, the wine is aged for a minimum of six years in the Criaderes y Solera system. It is a medium-sweet Amontillado, with an intense nose of nuts, a full body and persistent finish. It shines as an aperitif.
Williams and Humbert is the first and only producer to convince the ‘regulador’ to allow it to put age designations on some of their finest Sherries, from 12 year old to 30 year old wines. We have added a triple pack of half bottles of 12 year old Sherries, which are exceptional wines, and exceptional value to boot.
